Samik folk live in walking distance of Woomi, GMH, and Ramien but here are few things near by.
A. Tues Night Market
Every Tues there is a local market for veggies, fruits, seafood, and dry goods.
B. Post Office
At the corner of and is the local Post Office. Open 9-6. One of the gals there speaks a little English. Can get padded envelopes and boxes there too.
C. Bus Stops
The two bus stops:
29-761 which takes you towards Migeum, Seoul, etc.
The red busses include the famous 5500 which in about an hour or hour and half (depending on traffic) can take you past the school, towards Itaewon (about a 15 in walk or 5 min bus ride on a green bus), Insadong, US Embassy, and even Seoul Station where you can pick up the KTX. There is also 6800 and 6900 which both go to the Gangnam area but do not cross the Han River.
The yellow 11 takes you to Miguem - there are also the yellow 5 & 16 but not sure where they go.
There are numerous green busses too! (I heard the 730 takes you to Jeongja)
